Because our class was one of the top fundraisers for the Terry Fox run, we will be treated to a free, healthy breakfast on Thursday this week.  We will be getting juice, muffins and or croissants and fruit.  Yeah US!!

Caitlyn helped her Grandma in the garden with raking the leaves.  Aaron went bike riding because he has two bikes at home.  Aidan was playing on the computer and went for a walk with his family.  Brianna helped her mom in the back yard with raking the leaves.  Doug played cards with his Grandpa till 12:30!!!  Mark played soccer with his relatives and he ate turkey.  Justin also went for a walk this weekend.  Shaun ate turkey and cranberries but he didn't help to cook or clean.  Mimi went for a walk and a hike in the woods with her family.  Whitney played hockey and went for a walk with her family.  She ate turkey too.  We all enjoyed the long weekend!!  What did you do?

There are lots of exciting things happening in October.  Here are a few of them:
We don't have to come to school next Monday because of the Thanksgiving holiday.
We are having turkey soup for hot lunch on Thursday.
We get to meet our Best Buddies on Friday.
There will be a Best Buddy Hallowe'en Party at the end of the month.
Hallowe'en is the last day of the month.  There is a fashion show at Banting on that day.
We have lots of birthdays, Mrs. Moore, Whitney and Tyler.

There was a witch who tried to give the boy a present.  He was up in a tree building a tree fort.  The witch was down below.  The witch tried to give the boy a green snake.  The boy didn't come down.  He was scared.  He climbed higher and waited until Grandma came looking for him.
Today we read that Grandma got pnemonia.  She was very sick.  They couldn't go to Norway for a holiday so they went to a hotel in England instead.  The boy got two mice for a present.  They were called William and Mary.  The boy wanted to teach them tricks.  He wasn't allowed to take them out of the cage in his room so he looked for somewhere else to train them.  He went to the ballroom.  There was a meeting there for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.  The ladies came in and they all had gloves and hats. 
We think they may be witches and they may turn the boy into something else.

Brianna is going to go to work with her parents tomorrow.  They work near the airport and Brianna likes to watch the planes.  Mark is going to Manitoulin Island and will be hunting and fishing and camping.  Aaron will be cutting the grass.  Aidan is going to play wii.  Caitlyn is going to play xbox.  Mimi is going to finish her Final Fantasy 5 movie.  Brandon G is going to help wash the car.  We can't wait to hear about all of these adventures on Monday morning.

Aaron went to East Side Mario's for his birthday.  Caitlyn had pizza with cheese, onions and bacon for Aaron' birthday.  Aidan bought a book about fairies at the mall.  Mark played hockey and it was fun!  Brianna wasn't feeling very good this weekend.  Doug was also not feeling well.  Whitney played board games with her mom and dad.  Justin played and did some drawing.  Shaun is the last one.  On the weekend, he slept because he was still feeling sick.  Everyone is here today and we're going to have an AWESOME week!!!!  There's a PD day on Friday and that makes us happy!!!  NO SCHOOL!!!!

Yoga was fun this week because of the stretches.  The peer tutors were amazing, best peer tutors ever!!! (especially in period 1!).  It was fun doing school sign with Mr. B.  It was also fun to fix the school sign :-)  Pizza heroes were delicious for hot lunch.  We really liked caesar salad too!  We hope our parents are reading this blog. 

We are reading a book about witches.  There is a Grandma and a grandson so far.  Witches are very ordinary.  Witches are only women.  Witches try to squelch one child every week.  Grandma told about 5 children who disappeared.  One was stuck in a painting.  One turned into a rock.  One turned into a chicken. One turned into a porpoise.  One just disappeared.
We are going to keep reading this book next week.

Caitlyn like going on the rides at the Beeton Fall Fair.  Aaron watched the Smash-Up Derby Cars at the fair.  Aidan saw animals like cows, bulls, ponies and horses.  Whitney went to Swiss Chalet on Sunday with her mom and dad.  Justin went to visit the dentist.  Brandon also went to Smash-Up Derby!  Mark won some ribbons at the fair.  Shaun helped Grandpa carry up his bed and he also played NHL 13.  Doug went with Grandpa to the Fall Fair and he saw Caitlyn and Aaron and he went on some rides. 

This week was picture day.  We smiled for our pictures and paid for our student cards.  Some students practised brushing teeth with Mr. B.  We read this blog together.  What would you want to eat for hot lunch?  You can tell us in the comment section.
